1EZ


1EZ group
1EZ is the Garland Street Baptist Church Youth Group.  We have a varied programme of activities for 14-18 year olds and meet together on a regular basis.  We are in the process of developing a dedicated coffee lounge in the church building for 1EZ, but other activities include ten-pin bowling, treasure hunts, skiing (on a dry ski slope!), tobogganing, go-carting, beach picnics, EaZy nights, and many more besides.  1EZ usually meet on a Saturday evening. Mums and Toddlers


Mum's and toddlers
Mums & Toddlers meet in the church lounge from 9.30 to 11.30am each Wednesday. All mums and toddlers are welcome to join us for friendship, fun, and support.

Ladies afternoon Fellowship


Ladies Fellowship
Ladies afternoon fellowship meets weekly on a Thursday at 2.30pm in the church lounge.  The aim is to enjoy warm fellowship and to show the love of Christ, especially to those ladies who are unwell, lonely, facing difficulties or are in need. The informal meetings include a short service aimed especially at the older women, although all ladies are warmly invited.

Home Groups


Home Groups
Home Groups are small groups of church people who meet together regularly (typically weekly) for bible study, prayer and fellowship. These are an important part of church life and provide an invaluable support network. We have also found that God has spoken to the whole church through the study programme that homegroups have followed. We encourage everyone to join a homegroup.

Friendship Club


Friendship Club
Friendship Club meets twice monthly on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of the month from 2.30pm to 4.00pm in the church lounge (Friendship Centre).

We provide a varied programme that features talks, music, quizzes, presentations and activities. We extend a warm welcome to anyone who can come and join with us.

We meet at the Church Hall every Monday evening from 7.00-9.00 pm
This is a fun evening, not sticking too strictly to the rules! We have a break mid evening for a cup of tea, biscuit and a chat. New faces are always welcome to come along and join in with us.

Men's Saturday breakfast


Men's Breakfast
From September to June, the men of the church meet monthly for a hearty breakfast!  Following the meal, we have a talk by a speaker from within the church or an outside Christian organisation. This is usually held the third Saturday of the month from 8.00 to 9.30 am in the church lounge. 

Variations to the schedule are given in the weekly news-sheet handed out at Sunday worship. All are welcome, please check the church calendar for details.
